Cody was pleasant and respectful. So far, this has been a pleasant experience considering the need to incur such a large expense. I’ve know we’ve needed to do this for a while and am glad I found Groundwork’s to help. I’ve only just completed the initial inspection and proposal but I would expect nothing less great service and amazing work when the work is actually being done. I also love that a this is an employee-owned business. I love that.

We hired Aquaguard to fix a raised lip on our walkway that our homeowner’s insurance flagged as a liability. They were also supposed to repair our front stoop, which had detached from the house by two inches due to settling. When the technician arrived, he immediately realized that neither issue could be addressed as originally planned. To mitigate the liability concern, he grinded down the lip to eliminate the trip hazard, but this fell short of what we had agreed upon. I voiced my frustration to the technician, who was understanding, and I then called customer service to escalate the issue. That same day, I received a call from the owner of Aquaguard, who personally apologized and assured me he would see to it that the job was done right. Later that week, he visited my home, evaluated the work, and candidly acknowledged that it did not meet their standards. Aquaguard then went above and beyond to make things right. They replaced two entire sections of our walkway, not only eliminating the trip hazard but also improving water drainage away from the house. Additionally, they filled the gap between the front stoop and the house—all at no cost to me. While there was a significant initial mistake, Aquaguard took full accountability and exceeded my expectations in correcting it. Because of this outstanding customer service, I will continue to use Aquaguard in the future, knowing they stand behind their work and prioritize customer satisfaction.

Kevin MacDonald came to our home today because I noticed a couple of cracks above the doors. He explained what he was going to do before he started the inspection. After the inspection, he told us nothing needs to be done and possibly a follow up in the summer due to us being on a crawl space. We have insulation under the floor and just want to make sure we don’t get any mold. This gentleman could have tried selling us some sort of repair but was being honest with us. Having a person/ company that isn’t taking advantage of us is nice. We would recommend this company and Kevin MacDonald to anyone.

I had an egress window put in the basement and the people at Ohio Basement Authority did a great job. We am so pleased with the results and completed project! Highly recommend Mark, our inspector and all the guys that came through and did a wonderful job! Now we have a safe exit from the basement in case it is needed. Chris Presutti of the Pittsburgh, PA, office did a thorough inspection of the collapsing wall around the in-basement water well in my 123 year old home. He explained everything that he was seeing, and explained that what I actually needed was a contractor to tear out and rebuild the wall. He also gave recommendations of how it could be done effectively. This all at no charge to me even though Groundworks would not be doing the work. If I have any problems in the future, I definitely will be calling Groundworks.

Wow what a team! This adventure started off with an interview and inspection of our home with Micah Nyborg. We determined that we needed some hydraulic lift on the pool deck and our home needed to be jacked up and leveled. Alpha Foundation sent Jonah, Antoine and Chris and two days of intense work the job was completed. We are extremely happy with the work that was done and the professional way it was handled. Not only was the house leveled but they also installed a sump pump and humidifier to prevent any damage from mold! Thank you Alpha Foundation now we have peace of mind knowing that our home is protected for years to come!

I'm getting my pennies together to use the service but I'm incredibly impressed by their application and the differences between them and the other companies. I would like to give a very special shout out to both Dylan Johnson & Scott Asmore. They were incredibly thorough on the business side and really fun to talk to on the personal side.
